The Phaetus Rapido hotends have numerous features that make them ideal for high-temperature and fibre filament printing.
Rapido Hotends are compatible with Prusa 3D printers, but can also be used on other devices with an adapter.
There are two variants of the Rapido Hotend:
Rapido Hotend HF (High Flow):
· 290℃ Max Temp
· 24V
· 1.75mm Filament Diameter
· 105W Ceramic Ring Heater
· 104NT Thermistor
· Groovemount (Removable)
· 52mm³/s Max Extrusion Flow
Phaetus Plated Copper Nozzle 0.4mm x 1pcs
Phaetus Hardened Steel Nozzle 0.4mm x 1pcs
HF Silicone Sock x 1 pcs
The HF version of the Rapido Hotend is equipped with a V6 nozzle.
Rapido Hotend UHF (Ultra High Flow):
· 290℃ Max Temp
· 24V
· 1.75mm Filament Diameter
· 105W Ceramic Ring Heater
· 104NT Thermistor
· Groovemount (Removable)
· 75mm³/s Max Extrusion Flow
Phaetus Plated Copper Nozzle 0.4mm x 1pcs
Phaetus Volcano Plated Copper Nozzle 0.6mm x 1pcs
HF Silicone Sock x 1 pc
UHF Silicone Sock x 1 pcs
Plated Copper Extension Nut x 1 pcs
The UHF version of the Rapido Hotend is equipped with both a Volcano and a V6 nozzle. An adapter provided is used to change the nozzle.
Note: Both hotends can be used with the V6 and Volcano nozzle. To use the Volcano nozzle on the Rapido HF Hotend, however, a separate adapter is required, which is included in the Rapido Upgrade Kit.
Features of the Rapido hotends
The new design of the heating block has a larger melting zone to meet the requirements of high speed and high-temperature printing.
Thanks to the cylindrical ceramic heating unit, the hotend heats up more evenly.
- Optimised structure of the integral frame
The rigid structure of the integral frame made of titanium alloy screws enables a lower thermal conductivity and enables one-handed nozzle change.
A thin-walled heat break prevents heat creep and clogging while also providing excellent thermal insulation.
- Quick change between high-flow & ultra-high-flow print heads
A unique structural design enables quick switching between high-flow and ultra-high-flow printheads. The different types of nozzles meet the requirements of high temperature and fibre filament printing.
- High filament compatibility
The hotend is compatible with all thermoplastic filaments, including but not limited to typical fibre composite filaments such as PLA, ABS, PETG, TPU, PP, PA and PLA-CF, ABS-CF, PETG-CF, PA- CF / GF, as well as composite filaments such as steel, wood, boron carbide, tungsten and fluorescent filament.
